West Nipissing Land Use and Development Strategy takes home pair of awards at annual EDCO Conference

The West Nipissing Land Use Strategy for the former Mill Site in Sturgeon Falls was honoured with two awards at the 67th annual Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) conference in February. Re:Public is so proud to have led the development of the strategy, which establishes a bold vision for the lands and will be used to guide future planning and development activities here. This comprehensive document considers the community's needs, economic opportunities, housing creation, and the restoration of the natural environment on and around the site, and we are looking very forward to seeing how it is implemented over the coming years by Council.

Awards:

  • 2023 EDCO Lieutenant Governor’s Award

  • 2023 EDCO Planning and Strategic Development Award (Rural-population under 100,000)
