Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands Council Adopts First Ever Community Improvement Plan

On February 12, Township Council adopted the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands Community Improvement Plan (CIP), which is the community’s first. The team at Re:Public, along with help from our friends at Parcel Economics, worked with the Township in 2023 to prepare the Plan, which will be used as a toolbox to help guide public and private investment, redevelopment, and revitalization efforts across the municipality over the next decade. The Plan balances support between the Township’s urban and rural areas through a diverse mix of financial incentives and municipal leadership initiatives, and we’re excited to see how it positively shapes the Township in the coming years!
