Momentum Transport

The City of Sarnia’s Active Transportation Master Plan established a long-term direction for creating a safer, more connected walking and cycling network and expanding transportation choices across the city. Working with Momentum Transport, Re:Public supported the development of the Plan through background research, spatial analysis, network evaluation, and community engagement.

Re:Public led a GIS-based accessibility analysis to understand how well Sarnia’s existing and proposed active transportation network connects residents to key destinations and where gaps in access remain. This technical work was paired with a hands-on engagement program that included online surveys, walking and cycling tours, high school sessions, sketching workshops, and open houses. Together, the analysis and community input helped shape practical recommendations for improving connections, addressing network gaps, and making active transportation a more viable option for people of different ages and abilities.
